Status Report

I'm in the middle of a several month long project that involves translating a lot of dumb boring books. Also, Dark Souls. But mostly the former. Sorry. I'll make another post when this is over.

  1. You never need to apologize for Dark Souls.

  5. Hi there, don't want to put pressure on you or anything. I just want to know if you'll resume the translation of the Streets Episode of Baccano! 1934. And if you'll start Peter Pan In Chains after that one.
If you're not planning on translating soon, do you know if anybody else has translated those two books?

  6. Any chance of boredom setting in long enough to start a discussion on Genshiken ch87 and ch88. Miss your insights and those from everyone here. -Mudakun

    1. I wish I could read his previous posts on them, but they're all gone...

    2. I am sure that some webcache must have archived them, it would be great if the discussions reappeared. I'm sure that big K can't go too ballistic on discussions only. I might have even pdf-printed most of them, but whether I got all the comments, I don't know.. Muda muda

  7. Actually, I was thinking that not only having discussions would be cool, but just having text translations on a place like Manga Helpers would be nifty too. ^_~

(Yeah, yeah, I miss getting to read the current Genshiken, especially now that it is up to chapter 90.)

  8. There seem to be a few "scripts" of 90 and 91 floating around, until whoever has picked up the torch resumes their heroic efforts. Also a few other language versions. Precision is low, but at least it is something to chomp on while waiting..
    Ahh.. more wasted effort

Thanks to Spore for everything through the years! Get caught up with real-life homework soon, and have a relax!

    1. I have no idea why people are doing scripts when scanlations are still being posted, to be frank.

  10. Hey, Spore.

Even if you don't host the Genshiken scanlations any more please continue posting your "ramblings". I find them very insightful. If not for you I would've missed a ton of really interesting nuances in interpersonal relations.

  15. Hey Spore, happy new year!

I bring some good(?) news; aparently a new group has taken the task to translate Bambino Secondo:

They are in need of some jap->eng proofreaders, so if anyone feels like it, try contacting them.
