Someone brought this to my attention:

There's a PDF version of Children of Bottle compiled here, which is pretty awesome. They didn't use my edits of the images especially the color ones I spent hours on yeah I know right but for those of you who may want to read the Amazing Adventures of Czeslaw Meyer and Minions Friends somewhere that's not on my dinky blog, there you have it.

I would like to say I'm back, but this is more finishing stuff I was working on before than anything. Anyway! This is the longest chapter of the bunch; all that's left is one more chapter and then an epilogue or two. Color pages are coming soon. I think. That may be a Soon™ ala Blizzard Entertainment. done. Kinda. I can't really figure out a way to make them look half-decent with horizontal English text, so I'm leaving them unedited, just merged so you can see what the picture looks like.

I'm still technically on hiatus, but I had this chapter half done so I figured what the hell.

Also, good news. A kind soul who I know only as tigredebolsillo has uploaded a scan of the 2001 novel raw in addition to raws of all the other novels here (hoshit link's dead), so now I have all the pictures from the book. Previous chapters have had their drawings added in (click them to see them full size!). Color pages are currently undergoing editing, though depending on how I feel about them I may just half-ass them.

The Alchemists Who Leapt Through Time

So I watched the Baccano! dub for the first time a few days ago and holy shit Elmer has a British accent. This is so hilarious and awesome I can't even begin to describe it. One of the few dub voices I think is really great. I'll be trying to reflect a bit of that in Elmer's lines from now on. I'm shamelessly biased and fickle, so other characters (like Maiza) may not speak with approximations of their dub accents, and others may.

The four main chapters are based on the four kanji of the saying 喜怒哀樂 (kidoairaku). Read one by one the characters mean joy, anger, sorrow and happiness, and together they come to mean the scope of human emotion.

Meet Phil.

Somehow I had the feeling I'd end up doing this when I scribbled out that ramble about this book. It wasn't enough for me to talk about reading it, noooo. I just had to want to share it, too. Sometimes I think I set myself up for this kinda thing.

This'll probably be what I do when I don't feel like doing the image cleaning/editing/typesetting that's required for Bambino! I'll still try to get a chapter out for that at least every few days, though, so don't worry too much. I know these bits have already been translated on bakatsuki but I hear those are J to C to E translations and we all know what that means.

I am not doing the dramatis personae, because it contains a shitload of spoilers and honestly I don't even know why it's at the front of the book.
